Election Results

Congrats to the majority of our endorsed candidates in all five districts who prevailed in the March Central Committee election!

Those who did not make the cut will be considered to fill vacancies and serve as Alternates when the new Committee takes office in January of 2025. Friends of SacCountyGOP maintains a solid majority on the Committee going forward and we thank the voters for electing great leaders in the two districts that were contested!

It’s so important that our County Committee includes Republicans who want to project a positive view of the GOP to attract more voters and get our candidates elected! You can’t succeed by dividing our party or disparaging our leaders. We encourage everyone to unite for the 2024 election.

What is a Central Committee?

Committee Members are elected to conduct the operations of the County Republican Party. Learn more about the work of the current SacCountyGOP on their website.

The election was held in the March 5 Presidential Primary, and winners will serve for four years on the governing committee of the Sacramento County Republican Party. We run by Supervisor Districts and were only on the ballot if there were more candidates than seats qualifying.

We are proud to be a coalition of seasoned experts, young leaders, and current members of the Central Committee. Our focus is on registering and informing voters, recruiting and electing Republican candidates, and providing a positive image of the Republican Party throughout our communities.

“I am very grateful for Betsy and the SacCountyGOP. With their help, we unseated an incumbent Democrat in the State Assembly for the first time since 2014. To change California we have to elect Republicans at every level of government, and this team is making that goal a reality in Sacramento County.”
Hon. Josh Hoover

State Assemblyman

“It is with great pleasure that I extend my gratitude and support to Betsy Mahan and the entire SacGOP team she leads.  Under her leadership, we have significantly improved the quality and number of Republican candidates that have been elected at all levels of government in Sacramento County.  From unseating an entrenched incumbent Democrat Assemblyman, to securing Republican majorities on several of our local school boards, Betsy and her team are making Republican principles popular in Sacramento County again.”
Hon. Roger Niello

State Senator
